A brand package done for a new up and coming sweet confections catering company. The logo reflects the yummy essence of the new start up. Inspired by vintage bakery signs from a time where sitting down to enjoy a good sweet and some tea was all that was needed to repair a bad day. (Same is true of today.)
Some original lettering sketches follow the final logo.

An original typeface I designed that was based on classical Blackletter with a moder twist. I also took inspiration from Thai architecture with the serpentine like strokes for the monoweight typeface. Continuing my exploration with this typeface I would like to accentuate the 3D like twists. This is the reason it is named Wendel, meaning coil, spiral, helix.Typography2012 -

For the second year in a row I was asked to contribute some designs for the Mill's Pre-AICP Party. These double HD width videos were projected on a frosted glass wall filling the space with light and motion to add some visual interest.
The idea behind these experiments were containing design within a defined space, but being indefinite in their scope. It's something out of nothing, simple design reaching beyond it's own depth.Motion Graphics2012 -

Hudson Yards Procedural Artwork
Design support for an architectural project while at the Mill.
The architectural project at Hudson Yards has a couple story video curtain being installed in the facade of the new building. I was asked to design some options to show how the curtain could be used in future context, after the building is completed. The design brief was to create something procedural, as if it were computer generating in real time to interact with the space but also add an artistic touch.

Here are a few examples of the editorial design I do for The Mill. Usually, it is a clean simple aesthetic, but sometimes there is plenty of room to get creative in a project.

Doha, Qatar is an up and coming city with a rich culture and growing ambitions for the future. The city has already been given the honor to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup and most recently have set their eyes to be a future Olympic Games host.
The Mill was asked to create some graphics highlighting the many valuable resources and perks of hosting the games there. Below is the pitch material and one final render of part of the clients' larger more encompassing video. It was a lot of fun creating something for such a dynamic city, especially for the Olympics which is one of my all time favorite things.

This is my poster submission for the Mill's addition to the 50/50 famine aid help for the Horn of Africa. I wanted it to reflect a vintage travel poster, like that of Pan Am. I thought it would show a more hopeful outlook to the dire situation in the Horn of Africa.Design, Illustration2012 -

A freelance poster project for a great filmmaker, David Guglielmo, for his short film, The One that Got Away. You can find the short film here, if you like a good horror movie that leaves a considerable unease in you after it's over! The first poster is the one that finally got produced, the other being a close runner up.Design, Film, Graphic Design2011
